I'll try to listen to it.

Yes, you do, as far as I can see. :)
Did she clean it or paint it?

Your porch is adorable! :) It looks very cozy. I will try to give the pod cast a listen too. Do you have to use an ipod thingy or can you just listen on your computer?

Hey,nice surprise. What a great daughter! I dont know if this will help with the chooks, but I bought a "fake" egg from our local produce store and put it in one of the laying boxes in our chook house when got our new girls. This helped them to work out where they had to lay.We have 3 laying boxes, and no matter which one I put the "egg" in thats where they all lay !Hope that helps, enjoy your weekend :0)

I just finished listening to it as I cleaned the kitchen. I agree with much of what he says. Which is why it's always been important to be to be self-sufficient. The more dependent you are on systems rather than yourself, the more likely you are to suffer if or when those systems fail.

And we are in perilous times. We have an enemy ship heading to sea, threatening to nuke us, and saying if we make a move to stop them they will fire. And yet, no one in government gives the slightest impression of understanding just what a serious position we are in in this and many other dangerous areas.

Faith she cleaned it and re-decorated it. She used stuff she found laying around like the horse shoes and the hay fork and made a place so that i can sit with her. The end with the water cooler will be the kids area-she is getting a little table for them

Jennifer you can just listen online.

That is a good idea. do you happen to know how to get them not to kick the bedding out of the boxes?

Holy cow faith. Do you know what my first thought was when you wrote this? I am not ready! I can't find it on cnn. do you have a link?

Yeah, I always use egg decoys. Golf balls or whatever. They just want to have a safe place to lay, so if they see 'eggs' there, they figure it's safe.

Do you use straw for nest boxes? We've never had a problem with them kicking it out.

No CNN will not post stuff like that. The best common media you'll get is FOX News, but they miss most of it too. You've not heard about N Korea's threat?

DrudgeReport.com has some good news links. Let me find you some specific ones...

Here's the first one I picked up.

Faith I tried hay and it all got kicked out of the boxes 3 times. then I went to pine shavings and they stayed better but still gets kicked out.

I did know of the N Korea thing but it kind of took a back burner to Iran lately. For some reason I didn't know they were mobile or a threat to anyone except the us troops that are stationed in S korea.
