DAILY TIDBIT

What color will your hen’s eggs be? The color of a chicken’s egg is related to the hen’s earlobe color - the darker the ear lobe the darker the egg. Green eggs and ham is more than just a children’s book after all!

I just can't wait for mine to start laying. I am thinking about setting a stew pot in their coop area as a hint. LOL I am really not that mean, I just want my eggs no matter what color they may be. I bought these hens from my neighbor and she thought that they would be laying in Sept. I am thinking she was wrong. I am now hoping for Thanksgiving eggs. :(

H do you know how old they are? I think chickens are retarded...not sure they will get the hint...unless they think it's a nest? I was sooooo excited when I got my first egg. There is a picture of it on a past blog.
