Ok I own the only chaste bunny in the history of bunnies. So I am leaving them in the cage together over night. That will be the last time I will breed her for 31 days.
If it doesn't take I will try again in 33 days. If she still doesn't accept the buck I will call the rabbit guy to see if I can trade her.

I've left them together, without problems before, if they don't take right away. Do they get on together well?

They seems to hang out ok; no fighting. My confidence level is very low right now though.
I know how that is. Seems like difficult things always come in bulk packaging.
But the rabbit thing sounds normal, at least it has happened to me and with a little extra time to catch the fertile periods, it worked out OK. And the chicks' suffocation sounds like a classic textbook case that you know how to remedy.
Get some rest, do a few things that calm your spirit, and simply move forward. I will be praying for you. (doing that right now) :o)
