TIME TO WORK OUT!

I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW BAD OF SHAPE I AM IN! ALL I DID WAS CLEAN A LARGE GOAT PEN, TRY TO FIX THE LARGE METAL GATE THAT BLEW OFF IN THE WIND, TAKE THE 3 BAGS OF GOAT MANURE HOME, GO GET 8 VERY LARGE BAGS OF RABBIT POO AND TAKE THEM HOME,

PLANT 10 PINYON PINE TREES,

AND EMPTY THE 3 BAGS OF GOAT AND TWO OF THE BAGS OF RABBIT POO IN THE NEXT RAISED GARDEN BED.

I SIMPLY DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH ENERGY TO DO THE REMAINING 5 BAGS!

IT DOESN'T HELP THAT IT IS 80 DEGREES! IN DECEMBER!

ALSO: WHILE I WAS IN A NIQUIL INDUCED COMA, I RECEIVED THIS WONDERFUL ORNAMENT FROM PATRICE. I THOUGHT IT WAS A DREAM! TOO MUCH NIQUIL. THANK YOU PATRICE!!!

OK...NEW YEARS REZ#1; WORK OUT 5 DAYS PER WEEK RIGHT AFTER WORK.

Santa looks nice on your tree...

Did you just say that was all you did?

Let me tell you all I did today...I sat on the couch, I checked on the chickens...I sat on the couch, I checked on the chickens...and then I sat on the couch!!! You did all that the day after Xmas? What happened to sitting around and letting the food settle at your waist? LOL!

Yea but good grief I was so tired and I swear my legs were burning. I need to be able to do more than this if I am going to make this farm work! Some of this is just a two person job. Sometimes I wish I had a boyfriend or something. Maybe just a day laborer that I could afford! All I did with the trees was dig 10 small sized holes. and fill them back in. I can't believe how tired I was after that. ok i am done whining.

Sorry about the earlier deletion --hit the wrong button. I am in about the same position you are. My husband works off farm and is gone 3 weeks then home 3 weeks, etc. all year. I have faced the fact that I can't make the farm pay by myself. I do what I am physically able to do, barter what I can, and let the rest go. My husband is so exhausted when he gets home (works 12 hour nights, 7 days per week) that he isn't able to take up the slack. We have decided that we will farm only for sustainability - ours! - and enjoy the "nature channel" that this farm provides us. That decision has taken a lot of stress off both of us. But, I still miss the endurance and muscles that I had when the boys were toddler -- Superwoman.
