PLANNING A PLACE FOR MY ASHES

OK SHORT SECOND POST. THE REACTION TO THE QUESTION OF WHAT TO DO WITH MY ASHES ON HOMESTEAD.ORG CRACKED ME UP SO MUCH I HAD TO POST IT HERE.

I WAS ACTUALLY ASKING WHAT TO DO WITH EXCESS ASHES FROM THE FIREPLACE. AT FIRST THEY THOUGHT I WAS SPEAKING OF MY LAST REMAINS. THEN THEY SUGGESTED THE FOLLOWING WHEN IT WAS CLEARED UP:

ROTATE BETWEEN COMPOST PILES, EACH OF THE GARDENS, FLOWER BEDS, USING THEM TO DE-ICE THE SIDE WALK, AND LASTLY, PUT THEM IN THE CHICKEN HOUSE AS CHICKENS LIKE TO DUST IN THEM.

NOW I TRULY KNOW WHAT I WANT TO DO WITH MY LAST REMAINS. TOM AND HEATHER...ONE OF YOU WILL BE IN CHARGE OF SPREADING ME OUT BETWEEN THESE AREAS!

LOL Funny!

I have two books that I am glad I bought. I loan them out to friends all the time as they are very interested in the subject. As a matter of fact, they are out on loan again. "The American Way of Death; Revisited." and "How to Bury Your Own Dead."

Fascinating reading!
