Well depending on what the plants are....3 liter soda bottles with the bottom cut out? or pvc stuck in the ground in a hoop with clear plastic paint drop cloths clipped to it? I had a whole winter garden one year and fresh salad all winter just with old wood and a $1 painting drop cloth. I had to brush off the snow to get to the lettuce but it thrived and grew.

I keep trying to think of how I'm going to build little greenhouses over each plant that has volunteered so late in the season.
Not going to happen - but my brain keeps wanting to go there. LOL
