WARM FIRE

Ok I was not able to get as much done today as I had hoped. I always try to push myself so hard that I can't enjoy my day off. I love to work. I love to see things get accomplished. But I have a really hard time relaxing when I get a chance to.

So since I had 5 loads of laundry to do, and a house to clean, I decided to start a fire,

a pot of potato and onion soup,

a batch of homemade biscuits, and just "relax".

Yes I made biscuits while the potatos were cooking, and I washed dishes while the biscuits were baking, and am doing laundry while all that is happening, but I figured that I could mow next weekend maybe. I have all winter to mow because the grass and locust trees are not growing now.

After I get the living room clean, kitchen clean and vacume the floors, I think I will go to a toga party that I have been invited to.
Nothing like relaxation!

Wow, that looks so comforting...and the soup and biscuits look delicious. The soup is something I could probably eat, do you have a recipe?

My recipe for the soup:
5-6 potatos cut up
1 onion cut up
cover with water and boil until tender
put a colander over a pan and drain the veggies and put the liquid back in the pan
take the veggies and put in batches in the blender and mix about 1/2 a can of evap milk in each batch..process until not so smooth.
pour each batch back into the pan with the liquid and when all the veggies are back in add salt to taste. for about $3 i have my lunch today..tomorrow and all next week.

Peggy...you are one to talk woman! You work 10 times harder than I do!! lol
