That was very painful!I WILL NEVER TOUCH ANOTHER CREDIT CARD AGAIN AS LONG AS I LIVE.

I don't have credit cards either. My DH used them and got us into debt repeatedly. Upon leaving the marriage there was 35,000 in credit card debt, all in cards he took out in his name, without my knowledge. I am hoping and praying I will not get saddled with any of it.

I know what a weight has been lifted off your shoulders! (Dancing for you!)

ok I am going to ask you something that has preyed upon my mind since the first time I read a blog or forum....what does DH stand for????

and OMG 35k! How completely horrible!!! I am grateful that my ex offered to take all the card debt because I didn't ask for 1/2 of his 401k....what a stupid girl I was

LOL

It is forum shorthand for Dear Husband. :o)

Mine just threatened me with half his debt if I don't give up child support, alimony, and half the equity in the farm if he makes the payments for the next four years.

What a deal, eh?

good grief. I am sorry about that.

Congratulations! I am proud of you for cutting those cards into tiny pieces. If only everyone would do so.

Sissy can you imagine what the United States would be like if there was no one with credit card debt? No one would dare mess with us because of how strong we are!

Credit cards have caused the 'mess' we are in. I don't do credit, never have, hopefully never will. Forty years advice against cards and you are the first I've known who actually destroyed them. You have kicked the habit!
As for strength of country, I don't care for "flexing of muscles" toward another. There has to be a better way and attack is not it. "Begone" with credit cards and weapons.
