SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY

TODAY I SAW SOMETHING I TRULY HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE! IT HAS BEEN A WEEK SINCE I MOWED THE GRASS...SO IT IS A LITTLE LONG TODAY. MY DAUGHTER AND THE BOYS ARE SPENDING THE LONG WEEKEND SO I WAS UP PUTTERING ABOUT (WITHOUT MY CAMERA OF COURSE) AND WALKED INTO THE BACK YARD.

THERE WAS A FLOCK OF CARDINALS IN THE BACK YARD. THE SUN WAS JUST COMING UP SO THE DEW ON THE LONG GRASS WAS SPARKLING. THE FLOCK OF CARDINALS WERE TAKING A BATH IN THE DEW!!! IT WAS SOMETHING I HAVE NEVER SEEN BIRDS DO.

THIS TRULY SHOWS THAT THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY TO KEEP CLEAN. VERY COOL.

Your like me...that is something I would be in awe of. How interesting...I've never seen that either. Birds are incredible creatures.

What a lovely blog! During a long dry spell, I put the sprinkler on for the grass and about a half-hour later I noticed that there were about 50 birds enjoying the shower! They seemed to all fly through the spray, then clean themselves up on the wet leaves of the trees! It was fantastic to watch!

I love birds very much. I know I have goldfinches here in the winter. I now have 3 bird feeders and 3 suet feeders, 2 bird baths. I will continue to develope the front yard bird sanctuary. And the backyard chicken sanctuary! Thanks for reading.

I have never seen a flock of cardinals - probably havent seen one cardinal. We have lots of quail in our yard.

quail are wonderful too. I love the sounds. Fire ants have done away with most of the population of ground birds in texas
