Have you ever been called a liar when you didn't lie? Fun isn't it. Especially when it is someone I love and have bent over backards to help. (no more on that...just venting)
I stayed out until 2am last night. I had to get up at 6am but the storm woke me up at 4:45am. I am really miserable.
I didn't work overtime and then came home and filled waters and pulled up the peas, weeds and best of all I pulled up all the garlic. I probably have 4 pounds of garlic. I will dry it on a screen to dry and then braid it and hang it.
I am taking my computer to bed with me and will probably fall asleep surfing.
**UPDATE** Ok I forgot I had to start my homemade peach wine. 10 pounds of chopped peaches, 8 pounds of sugar, 2 cloves 2 all spice, 1/2 cup of lemon juice, 1 pound of raisins, and 1 1/2 cups of oats, 3 gallons of water. I am bringing this to a boil...this takes a bit of time...still tired...and once it has boiled 5 minutes, I will turn it off and let it cool...while I sleep. In the morning I will add 1 packet of yeast. The only kind I have is bread yeast so it will have to do. Then I will transfer to a clean bucket with a water air lock and let it ferment for 7-14 days stiring daily. Then I will strain and transfer to a glass carboy and put the air lock back on.
That is the part I love the most. I love to watch the fermentng wine. ..ok I was into sea monkeys too.

Yeah...been called one by my own daughter. No...not fun. Truth wins out, tho. Not always right away, but it wins. And God knows the truth.
Peaceful Acres isnt sounding very peaceful at the moment !You need some rest :0)
Very true Farmgirl. Granny, it's still peaceful cause she and I aren't talking at the moment. Go figure.
Tracy, wow. You've done alot on your farm and in your home. Wishing you the best.
I just found your blog via This and That Homestead! I just love your to do lists. You are so inspiring. :-) Thanks for sharing a part of your life with us!
Quite the opposite, I get accused of "Extreme Truths" which get me into trouble when the answer or passing observation is too truthful and not what friends and family wan to hear.
May I ask when you planted your garlic, what made you decide it was time to harvest and do you ever experience garlic rust when growing it.
Kind regards,

Thank you patrice! You too!
Welcome jayme! I don't think I could function without a to do list. I will be posting one tonight!
Welcome Goldmember. That garlic has been a long time growing. I planted it sometime last fall. i posted it here and will have to go back and see but I think it was late October. I don't know what rust is so maybe and maybe not. does it look like I have it?
As far as when to harvest, basically I got sick of it taking up room and that is why i pulled it up and was shocked that they were such beautiful heads. So it took 7 months to grow. Next fall I will pack them tighter and will plant way more. Maybe 60 cloves.
Yeah, I have. Dealing with it in my life to the nth degree. I'm so sorry. It is a challenge to love people who do not act in love in return. Sure builds my patience.
